Minister of Roads, Buildings and Photography, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy launched a beautiful rice distribution program in Edavalli Village, Kanagal Mandal, Nalgonda district, and described it as an important step towards the self-esteem of the poor people in Telangana.
Mr Reddy said the program is designed to empower poor and farmers because if they grow beautiful rice fields, they will get better prices. He added: “No government thinks of people with two different parts of the same plan, which makes them financially strong and dignified.”
The minister said there is no government in the country that provides free rice and it also covers 310 million people.
He said fine rice will be provided to future residential schools and dormitory students in the country. He said the state government is buying A-grade grains at Rs 2,320 per punch, which also offers a bonus of Rs 500 as part of the promotion of fine grains.
He said that against the previous administration and BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao, he said the previous administration did not provide a single ration card for 10 years, while Congress added 2 million names to the new ration card.
Mr Reddy claimed that the last government drained the Telangana River in the south and transferred the water to Andhra, ignoring the SLBC, and after taking office, the Congress government allocated Rs 4,518 crore for payment projects in its budget. He said the tunnel drilling machine will be brought from the United States soon to continue the tunnel work that was stopped due to the accident.
