The final work of the City Policy Committee begins

The last place of the Kerala City Policy Council, which constitutes the state government, aims to develop a comprehensive urban policy to guide Kerala’s development activities for the next 25 years, began on Monday (March 24). The final report of the committee will be submitted to the government after sitting down. The meeting stressed the need to pay more attention to the state’s spatial planning.
The Commission also calls for appropriate training for officials responsible for implementing the policy. After studying land use restrictions, available land should be used effectively. The meeting recommended that new methods should be sought for wastewater treatment. New urban policies should address housing problems for a growing number of immigrant workers. The plan should also consider the climate change and cultural characteristics of Kerala.
Local Autonomous Minister MB Rajesh, Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan, Urban Commission members and other officials were present.
