The former DRO scientist built the “Akash” missile system throughout his career

It is no secret that Hyderabad is the foundation of the major DRDO projects, and many of the products developed here have played a great role in the recent confrontation with Pakistan. One of them is the short-range surface-to-air missile “Akash”, which turned out to be a fortress, as well as other weapon systems, drones and missiles fired from the border during the tense times.
“For the first time, Akash used local construction in combat areas, which was used in combat areas and proved to be powerful and effective. The automated missile system surprised other countries.” Ecstasy former project director Gaddamanugu Chandramouli, who spent a full 34 years in its development throughout 34 years.
Missiles launched from mobile platforms can neutralize various targets simultaneously, including fighters, choppers, drones, subsonic cruise missiles, smart bombs with supersonic speed and automatic air defense capabilities, whether at altitude or size, Ex-do’s outstanding scientists.
From Madhira (Khammam, Telangana), Mr Chandramouli, a graduate of mechanical engineering from Nit Warangal and M. Tech. From IIT Delhi, former President Apj Abdul Kalam commissioned the Akash missile system when renowned scientist Prahalad Rama Rao was part of the first member team of three members while leading the integrated missile development program.
“Karam once said ‘first development of technology’ and the rest will follow. From design to ground-based radar systems, propulsion and weapon heads, it was 14 years of work in the laboratory throughout the week. We faced many failures at all stages. But there is something to develop and supply for our armed forces,” Mr Chandramouli explained.
“Seldom are prepared to believe that we will come up with a powerful missile that will be the backbone of our nation’s defense system. There is cynicism everywhere. We are scrutinized at every stage, but we remain calm, patient and lasting.”
As a core member of the DRDL-DRDO project Akash project, scientists have led many teams of many organizations, contributing to the successful completion of design, development, flight testing and user trials since its establishment in 1983 until its retirement in 2018.
The first successful flight was in 1994, and before the final evaluation trial in 2006-07, Akash was officially selected under the leadership of the Indian Army (2015) and the Indian Air Force (2015). Therefore, India could become the second country after Russia, with the ability to design, develop and produce supersonic missiles based on solid impact forces.
“Karam and other leaders have created an ecosystem where there is no self, only goal. I learned a lot from Karam, Prahrada Rama Rao, rr panyam, gn rao, gn rao, ajit chaudhary and others, helping me to execute this mega project. There is teamwork, transparency, transparency, transparency, transparency, support and inspire our efforts to turn to us to show responsibility, his Hemdles, ‘He vers”
After becoming project director in 2011, Mr Chandramouli simplified the production, delivery and attraction of Akash into the armed forces, coordinating with 13 DRDO laboratories, 9 defense production units and 5 ordnance plants to transfer complex technologies into local industries. Scientists also prepared a book, Chronicles, project Akash.
