Bull owner was killed, injured 24 people in Jallikattu in Pudukottai area

A bull owner was killed by a bull, and another 24 were injured during Sunday in Jallikattu, organized by the village of Meenampatti in the area. This nearly six hours of event saw the release of 571 Bulls, with the number of drugs involved in it being 300.
Police sources said R. Marimuthu, 23, of Porpaneikottai, near Pudukottai, was held by a Jallikattu bull on the chest at the collection site.
Marimuthu, who was seriously injured, was taken to the health department team deployed on the site. However, he died and his body was taken to the Pudukottai Government Medical College Hospital where the body was corpse.
Sources added that at the event venue, 13 injured people were referred to Pudukottai Government Medical College Hospital, and the remaining 11 injured were considered outpatients.
