Indian billionaire Gautam Adani continues to grow his business empire. His Adani Group has its presence in multiple sectors including ports, cement and energy. Billionaire’s Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) released a strong fiscal 25 result on Monday, surpassing EBITDA’s $1 billion as capacity to operate renewable energy (RE) grew 30% to 14.2 GW (year-by-year) – the largest in India. For the quarter ended March 31, 2025, Adani Group’s net profit soared more than 53% to Rs 2.3 crore, up from Rs 15 billion in the same period last year. The ADANI-LED company has a market capitalization of Rs 1.49 crore and its share price is Rs 9,43.50.
Energy sales rose 28% (year) to 2.769 billion units, equivalent to half of Singapore’s annual consumption, according to the company. While revenue growth rose 23% to Rs 94,950 crore, EBITDA growth rose 22% to Rs 8,818 crore, an industry-leading EBITDA margin of 91.7%.
“We have played a key role in India’s renewable energy growth, which can increase from our historic 3.3 GW Greenfield in FY25,” said Sagar Adani, Executive Director of Adani Green Energy. “We contributed 16 per cent to the nation’s utility-scale solar and 14 per cent to wind energy additions, setting new benchmarks for rapid, large-scale renewable energy deployment. We are progressing well to develop the world’s largest renewable energy plant of 30 GW by 2029 at Khavda, Gujarat, having operationalised 4.1 GW of solar and wind capacity within two years of commencing construction,” Sagar Adani notified.

According to the company, its cash profit soared 22% to Rs 487.1 crore in fiscal 25. Agel is developing a 30 GW renewable energy plant in Khavda, Gujarat. This expanded to an area of 538 square kilometers, almost five times that of the city of Paris.
