The government launches monthly unemployment tracker, with the first data to be released on May 15

Monthly data for January, February and March will be released on May 15. “This is the first time we’ve done this. We just want to do an internal consistency check,” the official said next to the event, requesting anonymity.
Regular labor surveys are official data related to the country’s work scenarios, detailing figures such as labor participation, unemployment rates, etc.
The official said the government plans to conduct a monthly event from there after the release of the first set of data, which will be released within 45 days of data on unemployment.
According to economists, data from employee provident fund organizations, employee state insurance companies and pension fund regulators are often used as agents.
“Monthly PLFS is just a step towards this. Because there are other monthly releases so far, but they are not representative. So our officials will be statistically stable. This will help fill this gap.”
