The death toll from an aluminum product manufacturing plant in Nagpur district rose to five after two seriously injured workers succumbed to burn injuries.
Five other people are being treated in the hospital.
The explosion occurred on Friday (11 April 2025) at 7pm at MMP Aluminum Industry in UMRED MIDC, Nagpur District.
“Two injured workers were taken to the Government Medical College and hospital in Nagpur in death in the early hours of Saturday from burns, and three workers died in the company after the fire was put out,” a police inspector said.
The workers of the deceased were all residents of the Nagpur district in the age group of 20 to 25.
