Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha said the Telangana government is committed to transforming the Jagtial region into the premier health care center in the state.
In a discussion with officials from Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP) and the Bureau of Medical Education (DME), the minister reviewed the gap in hospital infrastructure, public health care provision and services across the region.
In the main announcement, there is an MRI machine that is sanctioned for Jagtial’s government general hospital. The minister also stressed the need for improved services in three dialysis centers in the region, warning that any neglect of patient care will not be tolerated.
“Jagtial is an important district in North Telangana and our goal is to make it a role model for medical services. We will ensure that all necessary medical equipment is provided and that doctors must take care of promptly and compassionately.”
He directed health officials to promote delivery in government hospitals, which are 100% of the government’s birth targets. The particular focus is on increasing the quantity of normal delivery and requiring Asha and Anganwadi workers to increase awareness of the safety and reliability of village government medical services.
The minister also announced that a trauma care centre will be set up in Damapuri. In addition, he directed officials to ensure proper management of the central drug center in the area without any errors.
He issued a stern warning to medical staff, asserting that strict action will be taken against those found to be neglected. “Neglect will not be tolerated. Doctors and staff must provide the best service without inconvenience to patients,” he added.
