The heat wave catches the AP, the temperature soars above 35°C, maybe

Visakhapatnam: According to an IMD announcement on Wednesday, the maximum temperature in most areas exceeded 35°C, and severe heat waves continued to burn several areas in Andhra Pradesh.
Anantapur recorded the state’s highest temperature at 41.0°C, while Nandyal and Kurnool also experienced extreme thermal conditions at 39.0°C and 38.9°C.
In Visakhapatnam, residents face a maximum temperature of 34.9°C, with a height much higher than -3.2°C above the seasonal average.
Despite overall hot conditions, some areas have eased slightly. Ongole’s maximum temperature dropped to 33.6°C, a significant drop of 2.4°C. Kavali’s record also dropped by 1.9°C, resulting in a temperature of 36.2°C. Jangamaheshwarapuram and Kurnool point out each drop by 1.5°C.
The IMD identified several weather systems that affect the region and said the valley of the west wind from Sikkim to Northern Odisha now spans West Bengal and Jharkhand, between 3.1 and 5.8 km average sea level. Similarly, the amount of upper air cyclone circulation in the Southwest Bay of Bengal and Tamil Nadu on sea level has been reduced.
Meteorological Mann predicts thunderstorms are accompanied by lightning bolts in the North Coast Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Yanam, South Coastal AP and Rayalaseema from April 16 to 20. These thunderstorms will be accompanied by gusts of wind. In the first two days, the gusts of 40-50 kmph were reduced by 30-40 kmph, and the following three days.
IMD predicts no significant changes in the maximum temperature, but in NCAP, YANAM and SCAP, a gradual increase of 2-4°C is expected from April 17 to 20. Rayalaseema will see a similar trend, with temperatures rising by 2-3°C during the same period. Temperatures are expected to stabilize, while forecasts on April 21 and 22 have not changed significantly.
