The internal model bus terminal will appear in Tirupati

The Tirupati bus terminal will be replaced soon by the bus terminal in the mode. The terminal will provide all facilities for visitors to the Pilgrim Town – the bus station on the ground floor, hotels, restaurants and dormitories in the next 10 floors.

It is estimated that the project will cost Rs 5 billion. To this end, the RTC will allocate land, the central government National Highway Logistics Management Co., Ltd. (NHLML) will invest some funds, while the private contract organization selected will invest the remaining amount.

Currently, the Tirupati bus station covers 13.18 acres and the new bus terminal will be built on 12.19 acres of land. The new bus stop will have roads on all four sides, while the existing terminal will have roads on only three sides.

The cellar will have two floors where bikes and cars can be parked.

The bus stop on the ground floor will have 98 platforms, with additional space facilitating parking for 50 buses, in addition to space to electric buses.

Some spaces in the first and second floors will be allocated to RTC offices, while the rest will be allocated to food courts and other commercial venues.

The third floor will be fully allocated for RTC services. The power control room and the CC camera control room will be established on this floor.

From the fourth to the seventh floor, space will be allocated for hotels, restaurants, dormitories and other commercial venues.

It will be established on the eighth and ninth floors, commercial banks, other government and private offices.

The Helipad will be built on the 10th floor. In total, the structure will have 154,000 square feet of floor area.

During construction, traffic at the existing bus station will be transferred to TTD land near Alipiri and Mangalam Depot on Tiruchanoor near road.

The bus stop will be designed by Rail India Technology and Economic Services Ltd (Rite), with its entrance looking similar to Lord Balaji’s shrine.

It was also proposed that a sky walk should be built from the railway station to the bus station.
