The International Criminal Court wins prizes for world exam champion winners

Dubai: The winner of the 2025 World Exam Championship will receive a wealth of $3.6 million, more than double the awarded in the previous edition.
Australia received $1.6 million for winning the final against India in 2023.
The 2025 final will be held in Lord on June 11 between Australia and South Africa.
Losing the finalists will receive $2.1 million, while the runner-up in the first two versions will receive $800,000.
“The increase in prize money demonstrates the ICC’s efforts to prioritize testing cricket as it hopes to be based on the dynamics of the first three cycles of the nine teams’ matches,” the ICC said in a statement Thursday.
The WTC cycle allowed South Africa to beat Sri Lanka and Pakistan in a 2-0 home series to end with 69.44 percentage points. Defending champion Australia ended the match with a 67.54 mark, while India finished with a 50.00 mark after leading the table most of the time.
Australian Captain Pat Cummins said: “We are very proud of the opportunity to defend the world test championship, especially at Lord’s. It’s a testament to the finals that everyone involved has worked so hard over the past two years, which is a very honor for all of us.”
South African Captain Temba Bavuma added: “Everyone understands the importance of testing cricket and the importance of world test championships, making this important form of background for the game.”
“Lord’s is the right place for this large fixture, where we will all try to do our best with Australia.”
