The KKR vs LSG match moved to April 8 in Eden Gardens, which is why

IPL 2025: BCCI on Friday rescheduled the IPL match between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Lucknow Super Giants from April 6 to April 8.

Kolkata Knight riders will face the Lucknow superbike on April 6 in Eden, but plans have changed. BCCI announced on Friday, March 28 that the competition has returned to April 8.

The cricket association in Kolkata and Bangladesh has raised concerns about enough police security personnel during the Ram Navami celebrations held throughout the city.

“The decision was at the request of the Kolkata police to the Bangladesh Cricket Association (CAB), which has deployed the entire city for the celebrations,” the BCCI said in a press release. “The authorities have recommended moving the game to 3:30 pm on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 and the request has been adapted.”

“We have notified BCCI to reschedule the game, but there is no reschedule the game in the city, and I now hear it will be transferred to Guwahati,” Ganguly said on March 20.

The board announced that the timeline will remain the same, except for a match held on April 6 at Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans in Hyderabad.

The KKR vs LSG match was originally scheduled for April 6, an afternoon match in Sunday’s double-headed match. However, it turns out that only Sunriser Hyderabad and Gujarat Titan Giant game will be played at 7:30 pm on Sunday. Instead, Tuesday will be led by a double head, with the KKR-LSG match starting at 3:30 pm in Kolkata, followed by the Punjab Kings at 7:30 pm in Chennai Super Kings in Chandigarh.
