Some flights in major North Indian cities are affected; passengers need to check their flight status before arriving at the airport.
Indigo, Spicejet, India Air India canceled its flight operations in some cities in northern, northwestern and central India on Wednesday until May 10, after the aviation authorities' directive on the closure of the airport when the Indian armed forces “Operation Sindoor” retaliated against the Pahalgam attack.

Indigo pointed out in his travel consultation that Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Dharamshala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Gwalior, Kishangarh and Rajkot were cancelled at 5:29 am on May 10th.

Spicejet announced on Tuesday that it had cancelled flight operations to and from six airports in northern India after the airport was closed for increased security due to the Pahalgam terrorist attacks following the Indian armed forces Operation Sindoor.
Spicejet said in a travel consultation posted on social media platform X that currently closes Leh, Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Kandla and Dharamshala airports, and all flight operations to and from these cities remain suspended until 5:29 a.m. on May 10.
“The airports, Leh, Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Kandla and Dharamshala airports are currently closed due to the closure of the airport and the airport is now closed. As a result, all flights to these airports have been cancelled and the airport is released on X until May 10, 2025.”

Akasa Air Cancel your flight to Srinagar
In addition to Indigo, Spice Jet and India Air Indigo, Akasa Air has also canceled flights to and from Srinagar.

The decision comes after the Indian Armed Forces successfully used special precision ammunition to achieve nine terrorist targets in an operation called Operation Sindoor, which destroyed four in Pakistan, including Bahawalpur, Muridek, Sahar and Mehamona Joyya, while five in Pakistan-Kahistan-European Jammu and Kashmir (pojk).
Operation Sindor targeted nine terrorist camps, with the Indian armed forces ensuring no civilian casualties or military devices.
