Nabarangpur (Odisha): In a creepy case, a man allegedly murdered his wife and hid her body in a locker under the bed, then locked the house and absconded.
The deceased was identified as Anita Sori, a resident of the village of Haladi within the chandahandi police range. The defendant, her husband, Dushmant Nayak, is currently running away.
According to police sources, the crime occurred after Anita’s family suddenly disappeared, and a complaint of missing persons was filed at the Chandahandi police station. In the complaint, the police team arrived at the couple’s residence and forced into the locked house. To their fear, they found Anita’s body hidden in a box under the bed.
Immediately convene a forensic team to check the scene and collect evidence.
Although the motive for the crime is unclear, Loal police have launched intensive hunters to track down Nayak.
“The investigation is underway. We are looking at all angles, including possible domestic disputes,” a senior official said.
The incident shocked the local community. Shocked villagers described the couple as “quiet” and “moderate”, and they worked hard to understand the cruelty of the act. Meanwhile, Anita’s family demanded a swift justice and immediate arrest of the defendant.
As of the latest update, authorities have not issued a formal statement on the motive for the killing and have not arrested them.
