Police said Saturday that four people were slightly injured in a fireworks accident at a temple festival in the area. They said the accident occurred during a fireworks display on Friday night as part of the annual “Vishu Vela” celebration held at the Temple of Perumkurangala Friday night under Kotai Police Department restrictions.
They said that in the final stage of the display, the flames spread rapidly, fireworks and related articles stored in the venue, which was part of the celebration that suddenly attracted slam. “Four people, including close combat, were slightly injured. The investigation is underway and the exact cause of the accident can only be determined after that.” Senior officials visited the scene of the accident Saturday morning and also collected detailed information.
