The panel is designed to study safety rescue operations in key areas of SLBC

Hyderabad: The state government constitutes a technical committee that specializes in the technically feasible and safe ways to carry out rescue work in a critical area of the Srisailam left bank tunnel (SLBC) in the last 50 meters so that the bodies of the remaining six missing workers can be handed over to their families in a time frame.
Avind Kumar, the special chief secretary of the government, said the purpose of constituting the committee is to end the rescue work in a safe manner without damaging the lives of rescue workers. The Committee shall follow the technical recommendations of the subject matter expert bodies and shall carry out rescue work to properly obtain all necessary approvals and permits from the appropriate bodies.
According to a review held on March 24, the Telangana government is eager to locate and interpret the bodies of all the remaining six missing workers, and although all agencies involved (from the central and state governments) have done their best, all of which involve it, should still be identified as the most likely to be buried in its important areas.
Therefore, the government constituted a technical committee to study feasible and safe ways to carry out rescue efforts in critical areas of the SLBC’s nearest 50 meters.
Continuing rescue work over the past 55 days ensured that the mud and metal of the removed TBM were removed to the last 50 mts extension, during which time, over 800 tons of metal and approximately 1200 cmt of microphone have been removed.
