The rain relieves the intense heat

Hyderabad: After a few days of heat, the weather in Hyderabad suddenly changed on Saturday, with strong winds and night showers soaking several parts of the city. The rain surprised many, which temporarily relieved the ongoing heat waves, but also undermined conventional movement, especially for pedestrians and motorists fighting for cover.

According to real-time data from the Telangana Development Program Association (TGDP), several eastern and northern regions of Hyderabad and Medchal-Malkajgiri regions have seen heavy rainfall. It is reported that in the 53.5 mm of Ghatkesar's Ghanpur (NTPC), followed by Singapore Town 40.5 mm, 38.5 mm in the GHMC Regional Office in Uppal, and 36.5 mm near the PHC in Peerzadiguda. Other fields such as Malkajgiri, Moula Ali, Kapra, Cherlapally, Anandbagh, Mettuguda and Habsiguda also earn 18mm to 30mm.

In Hyderabad, heavy rains were encountered 25.5 mm, while parts of Tarnaka, Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar, Musheerabad and Secunderabad also reported to the evening. At the time of reporting, intermittent rain and storms continued to affect certain parts of the city, especially the eastern suburbs and densely populated communities.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts some cloudy skies and may rain or thunder and lightning in the next 48 hours. The temperature is expected to hover at a maximum hover of 40°C and a minimum of 26°C. There may also be gusts of wind at night and at night.

In view of the developing conditions, IMD has issued an orange alert for 14 districts, including Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad and Siddipet. Yellow alarms indicate that Hyderabad, Landdi, medchal-malkajgiri and several other areas are actually lower but still active weather threats.
