Scooters, drones help Anganwadi employees, farmers

Warangal: To improve community service and farming efficiency, regional collector Rahul Sharma distributed 20 electric scooters and 12 drones at an event held by Collectorate. This donation funded by ECIEL’s 40 million European Social Responsibility Initiative will benefit Anganwadi employees and local farmers.

Collector Sharma said at the event that electric scooters will help Anganwadi’s supervisors reach remote villages that often lack transportation. He also highlighted the important role of drones in agriculture and pointed out that they can alleviate labor shortages, help with effective pesticide spraying and reduce the health risks associated with manual spraying.

In addition to mobility and agricultural equipment, the region will also receive advanced medical equipment. Collectors mentioned that CT scanners and other equipment will be installed in major hospitals in the region next month, further strengthening local medical services.

Anurag Kumar, Eciel’s chairman and managing director, highlighted the company’s commitment to social responsibility, noting that these resources have been allocated to public services and agricultural practices in the region.

The event was attended by key officials, including other collectors Ashok Kumar and Vijayalakshmi, CPO Babu Rao, Welfare Officer Malleshwari, Agricultural Officer Veeru Nayak, Hospital Supervisor Naveen Kumar Dr Naveen Kumar, Eciel HR Maluri and Cmo venu babu.
