The second life, Mother’s Day celebration held in Ainu

Hyderabad: In a tribute to mothers’ infinite love and sacrifice, the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology organized a special Fernet ceremony on Mother’s Day to honor their mothers, who selflessly donated their kidneys to save their children’s lives. The event is themed “Second Life, Mom as the theme” – Celebrating the Mother Who Dedicated Your Life – not once, but twice.

This year, Asu celebrates Mother’s Day in a noble way. India’s largest network of single special kidney disease and urology hospitals shares some outstanding stories about mothers who donate their kidneys to save their children’s lives. The heartfelt event convenes doctors, patients and families to celebrate this extraordinary act of courage and love.

Recipients who are now recovering well after transplantation also participated in the event. In this case, the recipients of the kidney transplant share the emotional and torture journey they experienced during their illness and how the mother (donor) can change life forever.

Dr. C. Mallikarjuna, managing director of the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology and Managing Director and Urology and Urology, said at this moment: “Organ donation is one of the most profound gifts one can give to another. It is a selfless ultimate act. The ultimate act of these mothers. These mothers go beyond raising, especially in order to make children sacrifice teenagers. Mothers tend to last longer, function immediately after transplantation, and are often closer matches, reducing the risk of rejection and providing children with faster healthy, active life.”

“Mother’s Day is about celebrating the strength and compassion of mothers everywhere. Today, we witnessed both actions. This convenience ceremony is a recognized heroic act that will always inspire people.”

Dr. PS Vali, Senior Consultant Nephrologist at the Institute of Nephrology and Urology, said: “On this Mother’s Day, we are honored to celebrate the selfless courage of mothers who have donated the kidneys, they have dedicated their respect for and sacrificed these events, and they have not only demonstrated these events. Their generosity is a testament to the power of love, our unwavering determination between mothers and children.

A new report sheds light on a powerful maternal behaviour: mothers are the main donors in live kidney transplants to children, making up most of the donations in pediatric transplant cases. Experts say maternal kidney donations are not only more common but are often preferred due to immune compatibility, caregivers availability, and the emotional readiness of mothers to receive the procedure. At Ainu, one-third of kidney donors happen to be mothers except for immediate relatives.
