Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Thursday (27 March 2025) that the state does not include slogans or speeches, but rather through honest performance of duties.
Speaking to a letter of appointment issuance program for medical staff in the Ayush department, CM said: “Eight years ago, Uttar Pradesh was called the ‘Bimaru’ (pathological) state. Not a morbid state, but a pathological. The working methods of the government in the past were pathological, which led to states where the state was unable to make decisions and deliver results.”

He added: “Today, we see a new Uttar Pradesh that makes decisions with caution, transparency and honesty. These are the same values as the values that have changed significantly in the state.”
He claimed that Uttar Pradesh has made significant progress in administrative reforms, and its economic growth has become a driving force for India’s development, once forced by bureaucratic inefficiency.
Mr Adityanath also claimed that Maha Kumbh had a success due to the combination of teamwork and technology.
He mentioned the growing international recognition of traditional Indian practices under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Today, 193 countries celebrate World Yoga Day, recognizing the value of Indian heritage,” he said.
“Based on the wisdom of our ancient sages, the Ayush system not only teaches us to treat diseases, but also teaches healthier and longer lifespans. Uttar Pradesh leads an increasing number of Ayurveda and homeopathic hospitals in this region,” he said.
Mr Adityanath added: “The service of the state is not done through slogans and speeches. It is done by honestly fulfilling our duties. Leaving the job tomorrow means you are unable to perform your duties correctly.”
