Piyush Goyal launches India Startup India Desk Holpline for Indian Entrepreneurs – Everything You Need to Know

Trade Unions and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal launched a dedicated “Entrepreneurship India Table” on April 5, a helpline for emerging Indian entrepreneurs, an official release of the department.
Piyush Goyal made the announcement in a speech at startup Mahakumbh 2025. According to the release, the helpline will be established through the Ministry of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
The statement added that the Helpline is a four-digit free number and will also be accessed in multiple regional languages.

Piyush Goyal posted a video of his speech in his speech on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), which he said was “a new helpline to assist startups.”
In the video, the minister can be heard encouraging the founder of the founder: “What I want to do now is to open a table in an Indian startup company.‘ In my ministry, this will be a hotline for any startup from anywhere in the country. ”
He added: “If officials are bothering you, if you have any advice, whether changes to the law are needed, or you have developed something that needs to create new regulations… If you are facing corruption or demanding bribes, call the grant.”
“If anyone (official) causes trouble to you from any department, center, state, company or Zilla Parishad…you can be sure you comply with the law and will definitely use the helpline to complain.”
How to access the Startup Indian Table Helpline?
According to the official release of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, “…a specialized startup Indian Desk will be set up in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to serve as a hotline for startups across India, accessible through a simple 4-bit number of wireless languages using regional languages.”
No other details yet. The ministry may soon release free calls and other details through official channels.
Piyush Goyal says approved fund funds
Piyush Goyal also said the funding fund of the second startup (FFS) provides early financial support to new entrepreneurs who often face challenges in obtaining traditional forms of capital.
FFS, there is a corpus ₹100 million, approved and this year, and ₹Rs 20,000 crore will be issued to the Small Industrial Development Bank of India (Sidbi) as the first part. He added: “A large portion of the fund will retain seed funds for small startups and support deep tech innovation startups.”
The fund will promote “cutting technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), quantum computing, robotics, precision manufacturing, biotechnology, and semiconductor design” where longer pregnancy periods and high capital requirements may become barriers.
The Minister also spoke to Sidbi and encouraged the establishment of at least one support center in each state to provide basic infrastructure and shared facilities for early entrepreneurs.
