The Supreme Court condemns attacks on tourists as “cowardly acts of terrorism”

The full court of the Supreme Court unanimously adopted a resolution on Wednesday (23 April 2025) expressing its pain and condemned the timid terrorist attacks on tourists on April 22 in Pahalgam and Kashmir in Jamu.
The full court resolution says: “This unconscious act of violence cheers up people and is a clear reminder of the cruelty and inhumanity of terrorism.”

The court expressed its sincere condolences to the “innocent life is cruelly and prematurely devoured, and at the same time expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased.”
“May the souls of the deceased rest in peace, and may those who are soon injured stand with the victims and their families in an indescribable sorrow. The attack on tourists, who simply enjoy the natural beauty of the jewels in the crown of India, i.e. the natural beauty of Kashmir, is undoubtedly the basis for the unity of mankind and courts, which is the basis for the unity of mankind and courts.

The judge, attorney, and staff at the Court Complex observed a two-minute silence to express solidarity with the victim and his family who had lost their loved ones.
Meanwhile, advocate Vishal Tiwari filed a petition for public interest to the Supreme Court, seeking instructions from the centers and coalition territories of Jamu and Kashmir to take immediate measures to ensure the safety of tourists visiting hilly and remote areas.
