The Supreme Court observed on Monday, April 21 that controversial remarks with YouTuber and Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia on the comedy show have been completed, adding that it will hear his passport return plea on April 28.

Allahbadia appears in an episode of comedian Samay Raina’s India’s Lotent, making an annoying remark. After the incident, YouTuber faced massive criticism of him, many calling the remarks “obscene” and “vulgar.”

On February 18, the Supreme Court protected Alabadia after Maharashtra and Assam filed multiple FIRs against him. However, it also instructed him to deposit his passport at the police station Nodal Cyber ​​Police Tanna investigative police. The court also criticized Alabadia, calling his remarks “vulgar.”

Earlier today, a benchmark of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh stated that it would consider Allahbadia’s plea, seeking the return of his passport, on April 28. Meanwhile, solicitor general Tushar Mehta appearing for the Maharashtra and Assam governments, said in the Guwahati FIR that investigation was complete in relation to the FIR registered in Mumbai but a chargesheet was yet to be filed.

On March 3, the Supreme Court showed Allahbadia the green light to maintain ethical and decent conditions to restore his podcast “Ranveer Show.” Apart from Allahabadia, the other panel members nominated in this case are – Apoorva Mukhija, Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani and Jaspreet Singh.
