The title of Tom Holland’s long-awaited Spider-Man movie is a whole new day. Release date announced

The announcement was first published on Monday at Cinemacon, with director Destin Daniel Cretton taking the stage to express his excitement for the Heal Project, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sony Pictures reveals the title of the fourth issue of the highly anticipated Spider-Man franchise starring Tom Holland. The movie, titled Spider-Man: A New Day, will be released in theaters on July 31, 2026. The producer announced the same work on its official social media handle.

The announcement was first published on Monday at Cinemacon, with director Destin Daniel Cretton taking the stage to express his excitement for the Heal Project, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Cretton, who previously directed Shang-Chi and Ten Rings legends, revealed that he has been a lifelong fan of the character and was attracted by Peter Parker’s “humor” and “messy humans.”

Tom Holland appeared in the video section, thanks to fans for their support and teasing, Spider-Man: A New Day is a “new beginning.” The Hollywood Reporter quoted Cretton to respond to this view, calling the film a “cycle we’ve never really watched.”

The title is Spider-Man: A New Day, citing the 2008 comic storyline that takes place after events that changed the universe, making everyone forget who Spider-Man is. Given the end of Spider-Man: Going home without going home, this plot fits well, which makes the world forget Peter Parker’s identity.

Spider-Man: A New Day is written by Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, who have previously written Spider-Man: Not Back Home. The film is part of Sony’s ongoing partnership with Disney, which makes the characters part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
