The trained special forces deployed the main installation to maintain Karnataka: Minister of Home Affairs

Bangalore: Karnataka Home Secretary G Parameshwara said on Thursday that well-trained special forces will be deployed to protect the state’s main facilities and after operations in Sindoor, Karnataka Home Secretary G Parameshwara said on Thursday.

He said the police chief (SP) in all areas were sensitive and strictly directed to take necessary precautions.

Parameshwara told reporters here: “We have some special forces, such as the Industrial Security Forces of Karnataka State. We deployed it to maintain major installations such as the Raichur (Thermal Power Station), Kaiga (Nuclear Power Plant) and the Krishna Raja Sagara dam.

To answer a question, he said whether the state has enough personnel in such a force.

Parameshwara said the consultation from the Federation government required us to conduct simulation exercises in three places they mentioned and gave the exercise format.

“It will be held elsewhere today, tomorrow and the next day. The centre has selected Karwar and Raichur for drills besides Bengaluru. We have also included Mysuru on the list based on smart investment and other reasons.”
