“The United States and India continue to work hard to combat the scourge of global terrorism”: US State Department | Indian News

The U.S. State Department reiterated its commitment to working with India to combat global terrorism on Thursday (local time).
At a press conference, U.S. State Department spokesman Tammy Bruce said the United States has always supported India’s efforts to those responsible for the attack.
She further took pride in extradition of Lana, noting that he now owns India and faces trial for his role in the attack.
“On April 9, the United States extradited Tahawwur Hussain Rana to India, facing justice for its role in planning the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks… These attacks resulted in a tragic loss of 166 people, including six Americans, shocked the world,” Bruce said.
She added: “The United States has long supported India’s efforts to ensure those responsible for these attacks, and as President Trump has said, the United States and India will continue to work together to fight the scourge of global terrorism. He owns their property and we are proud of this dynamic.”
Meanwhile, earlier today, the National Bureau of Investigation (NIA) successfully extradited Lana after years of ongoing and collaborative efforts to extend a hand to the main conspirators of the chaotic 2008.
According to the NIA, under the India-U.S. Extradition Treaty, it was detained in the United States in a lawsuit initiated by the United States for its extradition. After Rana used all the legal avenues to keep the action, the extradition was finally passed.
A special National Bureau of Investigation (NIA) court sent Lana to the 18-day NIA detention center on Friday.
The counter-terrorism agency provided compelling evidence, including emails sent from the 26/11 Mumbai attacks were accused of Tahawwur Rana of justifying his police detention. The agency informed the court that custody trials are crucial to exposing sinister plots. Investigators will also study Lana’s role in planning a deadly terrorist attack.
The NIA further noted that as part of the criminal conspiracy, David Coleman Headley discussed the entire operation with Tahawwur Rana before visiting India. Preventing potential challenges, Headley sent Rana an email detailing his property and assets. He also informed Rana of Ilyas Kashmiri and Abdur Rehman for the plot.
