The United States launches fresh air strikes in Yemen’s capital, other provinces | World News

Sana: A U.S. air strike hit Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, with at least nine people injured, including seven women and two children. Xinhua News Agency reported that the strike was targeting a building under construction in the Sanaa Geraf community, where residential structures nearby destroyed nearby buildings and damaged civilians sheltered in adjacent buildings.
The attack marked the second strike to the area since Saturday’s attack, when the earlier attack killed 53 people, 98 of whom were injured, including women and children, according to health authorities controlled by Hosey. Wednesday’s strike also expanded to other areas, with Al-Masirah reporting strikes in Hotty-controlled areas of governors such as Sada, Al-Bayda, Hodeidah and Al-Jawf.
Houthis, who controls northern Yemen, claimed earlier Wednesday that they launched cruise missiles on the Harry Truman in the Red Sea, calling it the fourth such attack in 72 hours. The group insists that its maritime strikes target only Israel-connected ships to force Israel to block its Gaza offensive and allow humanitarian aid to enter the Palestinian enclave.
The campaign aims to protect international transport lanes, which began to strike Saturday’s Houthi target. U.S. President Donald Trump warned Houthis on Saturday to stop the attack or face intensified consequences, claiming: “Hell will know nothing like the one I’ve seen before.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Yemen’s Houthi Group said it had targeted the fourth time in the last 72 hours against the Red Sea Harry S. Truman Airways (Harry S.) in a statement that the operation was conducted with Cruise missiles and drones, claiming it had successfully foiled “hostile U.S. air strikes.”
