The Vatican bells mourn the demise of Pope Francis as the world mourns

On Monday morning, the solemn sensation of Bells echoed in St. Peter’s Square, marking the death of Pope Francis, who died at the age of 88. The Vatican confirmed the death at 7:35 a.m., and Cardinal Kevin Farrell and Cardinal Kevin Farrell of Pastostiel Camerlengo officially announced that “Rome, Rome of Francis, father, Rome of Francis, father, Rome of Francis, father, and father returned to the House.
The bells of St. Peter’s Basilica and other churches across Rome were ringing in unison, a centuries-old tradition that represented the death of the Pope. Pilgrims and locals gathered silently in the square, many kneeling and praying or crying quietly, while the black and white flags lowered to half the mast.
Inside the Vatican, the Holy See began to prepare for mutually exclusive preparations (the period between papayas). Cardinal Farrell will oversee the daily affairs of the Pope’s family until the Cardinal College convenes a conference contest to elect the new pope.
Global leaders, faith communities and citizens have poured in messages of mourning and tribute, all commemorating the legacy of Pope Francis’ humility, inclusion and social justice. The Vatican announced that details of funeral arrangements and public viewing will be shared soon.
