Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday (17 April 2025) directed police to initiate the drive to track people living in the state forged identification documents.
He also directed police to take strict action against those who helped the “invaders” obtain fake certificates.
In a meeting with the senior police, the Chief Minister directed them to take strict action against the Mafia and all those who interfere with the situation of law and order.
He added: “Uttarakhand is known as a peaceful country in the country and in the world, but the police station must remain vigilant so that criminals do not consider this as their safe haven and do not abuse the image of peace in the country.”
Mr. Dami recognized the first information report (FIR) on delayed submission of cybercrime, and in this case Mr. Dami sought reports on actions taken to date. He directed the police department to improve work culture at all levels and asked the police chief to commit any offences of misconduct or offence against the police.
