The woman died while giving birth in Kerala; her husband arrested

A woman’s husband was arrested for her husband who died of excessive bleeding during her stay here and was booked for crimes of homicide rather than murder, police said Tuesday. Police said husband Sirajudheen was also booked for trying to destroy evidence by taking the body of his late wife to his home in Perumbavoor, Ernakulam district.

It said the husband was arrested Monday night. Malappuram Sp vishwanadh R told reporters here that the police knew that everyone except her husband was giving birth and were investigating their role in it.

In addition, police will investigate whether the defendants and others are breeding at home for children safe. “On the surface, it appears the husband pushed the delivery at home,” the official said, further saying that it was the victim’s fifth pregnancy, with the first two delivery occurring in the hospital, and the remaining three, including the latest one-third.

The official said the husband is a native of Alappuzha and his income comes from his YouTube channel and religious discourse. “They may be related to his profession,” he said. Police said the 35-year-old Asma woman was born on the evening of April 5 and died of bleeding the same night.

The officer said the next day the husband took the body to Perumbavoor, but officers arrived at his house and moved her mortal body to nearby Taluke Hospital. A day ago, state health secretary Veena George expressed concern about the incident and said it was equivalent to “intentional murder.”

She has said that although Kerala has the lowest maternal and infant mortality rates, there have been some negative trends in society in recent years, which has attracted people’s attention.
