Not Prithviraj Sukumaran or Mohanlal, but the first giant to watch the L2 Empuraan trailer

Hosted by Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran (L2: Empuraan) is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer.

Director Prithviraj Sukumaran has now revealed that he is the protagonist of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, the first to watch the trailer for his long-awaited political thriller L2: Empuraan: Malayalam Superertar Mohanlal, and praised him.

Prithviraj landed on his schedule on Tuesday on X, joining Rajinikanth in a photo of himself and wrote: “The first person to watch the trailer for #l2e #empuraan, I will always cherish what you said after watching it!

Empuraan is a sequel to Lucifer, which has been a huge success. Prithviraj Sukumaran, in addition to directing the film, also played the role of Zayed Masood – Mercenary Commando, who led the popular power of the infamous Nexus Kureshi – Ab’ram in the Lucifer series.

Prithviraj recalls the audience being introduced into a complex environment, and he said in an earlier video clip that in the second part, the complexity will be further deepened. “The number of characters has increased. You will witness more settings and landscapes where the story unfolds. But through all of this, we firmly believe that the film has a coherent narrative. May the audience feel the same when they watch it.”

Noting that when Lucifer’s first part ended, the audience introduced to the giant mega-universal group under Khureshi-ab’ram felt that the world didn’t seem to have enough power to take over them in the world, Prithviraj said: “This is what we believe after watching the movie.

Mohanlal-Starrer L2: Empuraan (L2E) is now co-produced by Antony Perumbavoor, Lyca Productions and Sri Gokulam movies. The story is written by Murali Gopy, whose music is scored by Deepak Dev. The film has photography by Sujith Vaassudev and edited by Akhilesh Mohan.

Lucifer, the first part of the franchise released in 2019, marks the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, and it was a sensation in just eight days. It continues to produce over Rs 2 million, making it the highest Malayalam film ever. Needless to say, expectations for a sequel that was scheduled to be released on March 27 this year have soared.
