Two people operated without permission in the village of Neiveli Thtpathy, adjacent to Tagarwal district, during an explosion in an illegal state biscuit manufacturing department.
Police referred to the deceased’s name as 60-year-old K. Sundarraj and 19-year-old A. Riyaz of Neiveli Thetathy village. The explosion occurred around 10 a.m., a shed made in a shed.
Police sources said Sundaraj and Riyaz were working when the explosion was in progress. Illegal cookie manufacturing departments are making cookies based on demand for rural festivals. The shed was damaged in the explosion.
Firefighters and police examined the victim’s body and were sent to the Patukotai Government Hospital for autopsy. Sources further said that the mother of Riyadz, who is allegedly operating the department, has been accepted. Vattathikottai police are investigating.
