Thiruvanaikoil residents are angry after frequent power interruptions

Over the past few days, frequent damage to power and power fluctuations in Thiruvaneikoil and Thiruvanaikoil No. 1 in the city has caused serious inconvenience to residents.

According to one of Tiruvaneikoil’s residents, one of the densely populated areas of Tiruchi, the power supply was destroyed for more than two hours in the early hours of Sunday morning. In addition to Thiruvanaikoil, several parts of Srirangam and No. 1 Tolgate have also witnessed power outages in the past few days. These damages are reported mainly from 10.30 pm to 1 a.m.

There are no major problems with the power supply until the public exams of Plus Two and SSLC are completed. However, local residents say the power interruption has existed since the exam is completed. Residents cannot predict when the power supply will be destroyed.

Many complain that the disruption of motivation disrupts their sleep at night. Elders, patients and children are affected. Unlike in the past, most residents have been accustomed to using air conditioners to sleep at night when they manage to use a fan. Many of them have not been able to fully use the comfort machine over the past few days.

“We are facing severe inconvenience both day and night due to the sharp rise in temperature. The heat is unbearable. We manage the heat by using fans and air conditioners. However, we cannot use them due to frequent power damage in the past few days. We have been unable to use them in the past few days.

Similarly, residents of 1 Torgate complained about frequent power fluctuations and power interruptions.

Tamil Nadu Electric Power Corporation (TNPDC) distributes power from the Thiruvanaikoil substation to several areas of Thiruvanaikoil and Srirangam through the Thiruvanaikoil substation through the Srirangam substation.

However, sources in TNPDC said it has been facing power problems due to the weight flow near the Alagiripuram in Thiruvanaikoil, since the two HT transmission towers on the Kollidam riverbed. Manage the power supply to Thiruvanaikoil by knocking the power supply from Samayapuram and others. It caused some problems here and there. Steps will be taken to ensure uninterrupted power.
