Hollywood actor Andrew Garfield has publicly expressed his desire to return to Spider-Man, a thought that must be very novel. Tom Holland took over the role in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. But without the success of going home, there is still a lot of love for the iteration of Garfield comics heroes.
“Of course, if that’s right, I’ll be 100% back, if it’s an additive to culture, if there’s a great concept or something that hasn’t been done before that, it’s unique and weird, exciting, and you can get your teeth stuck,” Garfield told Esquire. He added: “I love that character, it brings joy. If part of what I bring is joy, then I’m glad to pay back.”
Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man movie is officially called “Spider-Man: A New Day” and will be released on July 31, 2026.
