The gin made in India, “Jiji” is now recognized as the best gin in the world. Jin Jiji, the Indian Handmade Gin, won the gold medal of 98 points, becoming the high-end gin for 2025 and won the title of “Spirit of the Year” in the most famous “London Spirit Competition 2025”. The competition saw more than 500 entries from about 30 countries, including some world-class and renowned global gin producers.
About Jin Jiji
Most notably, Jin Jiji’s roots are very Indian. This gin is made from all Indian adult ingredients that blend Himalayan juniper, Tulsi, chamomile and Indian plants.
Jin Jiji uses Indian-style gin globally in countries including Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe. It received several acclaim, including the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC).
It was founded by sommelier Ken Fredrickson and spiritual expert Ansh Khanna. Ansh Khanna reflected on this victory, saying: “India has always had the elements of a world-class spirit, and what we need is faith and craft.”
He added: “Acknowledged as the highest/best gin in the world, the spirit of the year is not only our victory, but also the victory of Indian craftsmanship on the global stage.”
