Officials said police have invoked strict Illegal Activities (Prevention) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) section of the Terrorist Act (BNS) to target two men arrested at mosques in the Beed area of Maharashtra.
The gelatin sticks were extinguished on March 30 at the mosque in Ardha Masla Village, Georai Tehsil on March 30, leading to the arrest of two men.

Although no one was injured in the explosion, the interior of the structure was damaged.
Police arrested local residents Vijay Rama Gavhane (22) and Shriram Ashok Sagde (24) within hours of the explosion.
The BEED police initially registered a case under various BNS sections, including 298 (destined to insult religions of any class), 299 (destined to insult religious feelings, covering insult religions) and 196 (promoting hostility to one another).
During the investigation, police now invoked BNS Section 113 (Terror Act) and UAPA Sections 15, 16 and 18, involving “terrorist acts, punishments and conspiracies for terrorist acts.”
Under UAPA, ensuring bail is difficult.
The arrested person was detained in police custody, the official added.
