This WhatsApp feature protects you from mass scam text

Recently, some WhatsApp users have been desperate to add Meta AI to their apps. More specifically, they can’t seem to turn it off.
But digital expert Michael Ryan comes from Ink figures Share another (probably more popular) feature of the app “off by default”.
Settings, which one WhatsApp describes as Experts say a “advanced security measure” may help “prevent a large number of unsolicited messages from reaching the phone.”
“While it won’t block messages from your contacts, this setting is designed to protect you from mass spam attacks that could stall your phone.”
This function is called Block Unknown Account Message
This function, named Block unknown account messageswill stop a large amount of text from unknown numbers to arrive at the phone.
It doesn’t prevent all spam or potential spam from reaching your WhatsApp, but when “out of large capacity”, it does cut messages from the contact’s account, WhatsApp website reading.
This is helpful because “in some cases, receiving a lot of spam messages can slow down the performance of your phone and even freeze completely.”
“Normally, these messages come from unknowns, not your regular contacts.”
When you turn on settings, text from regular contacts will still arrive at you, and the message will not be blocked once you return to the “normal” volume.
How to enable block unknown account message in WhatsApp?
“If you’re using an iPhone, you can turn on this feature by going to Settings, tapping Privacy and selecting Advanced,” Ryan said.
Once there, you can simply switch between the barrier unknown account messages.
Meanwhile, “on Android devices, you need to click on the three-dot menu icon,” the expert added.
“Next, go to Settings and select Advanced. You can then activate the feature from that menu.”
If you use WhatsApp Web, “Click three dots, go to Settings, then Privacy, and select “Advanced,” Ryan continued. Once you get there, you should see the settings listed and you can turn them on.
