Those who glorify Oranzeb are “traitors”: eknath shinde

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said he still praised the people of Aurangzeb as “traitors” and pointed out that the Mughal emperor tried to conquer the country and committed various atrocities. On the other hand, Shinde said on Monday night on the occasion of “Shiv Jayanti” that the king of Marasa chhatrapati shivaji maharaj is the “sacred power” representing the spirit of heroism, sacrifice and Xindetuva.

Shiv Sena head spoke at the unveiling of the equestrian statue of Shivaji Maharaj in Gharda Chowk in Dombivli district of Thane, which is installed in memory of the legacy of Maratha King, his courage and leadership.

His remarks were made under the demands of some right-wing clothing to cancel the Aurangzeb tomb located in the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar area of the state.
It is worth noting that rumors say that a community of holy books was incited by right-wing institutions to cancel the grave of Oranzeb, and violence broke out in central Nagpur.

Shivaji Maharaj is not only a symbol of Hindu and Indian pride, but also a “inventor of democracy”, said Shivaji Maharaj at the unveiling event here.

The leader of Shiv Sena also condemned Aurangzeb’s atrocities against Maharashtra, especially the execution of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s son, Shivaji Maharaj. “Aurangzeb captured Maharashtra, but he faced the divine power of Shivaji Maharaj. Those who still sing were nothing more than traitors.” He said: “Shiv Chhatrapati is the pride of United India and the roar of Hinduism. Shivaji Maharaj is a visionary leader, a man of an era, a promoter of justice and a commoner king.”

The Deputy CM called on the people to adopt at least one quality of Shivaji Maharaj in their lives, saying that this would be a true tribute to the great ruler of Malasa.

He said the statue will continue to remind Maharashtra of the glorious history and inspire young people and future generations to embody Shivaji Maharaj’s heroic and governance values.

Shinde said Gharda Chowk is now known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk.

Members of the party responded to the announcement with loud applause and the voice of “Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji.”

Shinde also said that the government is committed to development and people-centered governance inspired by the principles of Marathi rulers.
