Three elephants died in Manas National Park, Assam

“Three wild elephants were found in Manas National Park in Assam near the Indian-Bathan border,” officials said on Saturday (May 3, 2025). “The body was found in the Palengshi Beat area in the Panbari range west of the Forest Guard on Friday (May 2, 2025). They added: “Investigations have been initiated.”

“Poachers suspected of killing the elephant, but all aspects are being investigated,” an official said. He added: “The elephant's postmortem will be conducted before the last ceremony in the forest.”
