Three Kasaragod natives were arrested by 20 kilograms of Ganja during a flash inspection conducted by the anti-drug squad in Malaparamba in Kozhikode City on Sunday (April 13, 2025).
The arrested were identified as GC Sreejith of Krithiguru 32, 32, and Mohammed Ashraf, 37, 3. The wagon they used to smuggle the drug was also related to the incident.
Police sources said the market value of the confiscated Ganja is Rs 8 lakh. During the inspection, they said, the Ganga bag was found hidden under the passenger seat.
Sreejith is the first defendant in the incident, involving similar drug trafficking cases. Ramanattukara police earlier arrested him with a 9 kg Ganja.
