Three people died in a road accident Tuesday on a two-wheeler on Panapakkam Main Road in Attupakkam Village near Arakkonam town in Ranipet.
The deceased was identified as Vetriselvan, 23; S. PERM, 24; N. Dinesh, 24- All from the village of Venkatapuram.
The initial inquiry showed that Vetriselvan came home from Preming Pillion, from Sethamangalam village. On the way, he lost control of the vehicle, collided with a two-wheeler driven by Dinesh, and rode with 26-year-old K. Ranjith.
During the impact, Vetriselvan and Prem were thrown off the vehicle and died on the spot. Ranjith and Dinesh were seriously injured. Passers-by reminded Nemili police that Nemili police arrived at the scene together with the ambulance.
The injured were transferred to a government hospital where doctors declared Dinesh dead when he arrived. Ranjith is undergoing treatment. Police cited rash driving accidents and said the victim was not wearing a helmet.
