Three soldiers were killed when Indian Army vehicles crashed into the Ramba Canyon in Jamu and Kashmir

Three soldiers died after slid on Sunday's car and fell into a 700-foot deep canyon in the Lanban district of Jamu and Kashmir. The Army Truck is part of a convoy from Jammu along National Highway 44.

Officials said three Army personnel were killed when their vehicles slid from the road and crashed into a 700-foot deep canyon in the Ramban district of Jamu and Kashmir on Sunday (May 4, 2025). The Army trucks were part of a convoy when the accident occurred near Washma, around 11:30 a.m., officials said.

They said the Army, police, SDRF and local volunteers and three soldiers immediately launched a joint rescue operation and were found dead.

Officials said the deceased were identified as Sepoys Amit Kumar, Sujeet Kumar and Man Bahadur, whose bodies were retrieved from the canyon.
