Warangal: GST officials arrested three young men, including supplier Kundela Indra Teja and two consumers, and seized 700 grams of dry ganja, worth 13,000, believed they were in the outskirts of the Parimala colonial area in the Hanamkonda area.
Indra Teja admitted that he had been selling small quantities of Ganja to others to fund his habits and obtained narcotics from some in Dhoolpet, Hyderabad, according to a GST official. Two other purchase Ganja from Indra Teja for personal use.
As part of the special driving force for NDP (anaesthetic and psychotropic drugs) drugs, officials are following instructions from Deputy Commissioner G. Anjan Rao and Regional Injunctions and Consumption Tax (P&E) Officer K. Chandrasekhar.
Officials also grabbed the cell phones of all three defendants. The case has been registered under the NDPS Act, the defendant was filed in Hanam Kenda Court. Following the direction of the judge, they were remanded as judicial custody.
The unexpected inspection was conducted under the leadership of P&E Deputy Inspectors Venkanna Chandu and B. Krishnamurthy.
