Thudum Debba meets at Jodeghat Fetes Komaram Bheem

Adirabad: The state-level conference of the famous Adivasi rights organization Thudum Debba (Adivasi Hakkula Porata Samiti) is located in Jodeghat, Kerameri Mandal. The three-day party begins on April 12 and ends on Sunday.

On the last day, leaders and participants pay rich tribute to Adivasi idol Komaram Bheem through statues and recalling his historical struggle for tribal rights and self-rules. Jodeghat’s site is symbolic because of the locations associated with the struggle of Bheem.

The meeting saw active participation of Thudum Debba state and regional leaders and representatives of its affiliated organizations. The discussion focused on key issues regarding Adivasi rights, land protection and autonomy.

State convener Bursa Pochaiah and co-conveners Godam Ganesh, Sidda Boina Laxmi Narayana, Kotnaik Vijay, Alam Kishore, Chanda Raghupathirao, Agaboina Ravi, Kunja Narayana, Podam Bapu, and Esam Narasimharao were among the key tribal leaders who addressed the gathering.

Academic and civil society representatives also participated in the discussions on the welfare and constitutional rights of Adivasi, including Professor Srinivas Rao, Central University of Hyderabad, and the President of the Human Rights Forum (HRF).
