Tiger K8’s Dead Ring Alarm Ring

adirabad: Two days ago, the death of an adult tiger apparently caused an alarm bell from the forest department because of the safety of the big cats in the tiger corridor forest in the Adilabad area. The dead tiger is believed to be a descendant of Phalguna, the first tiger to settle in Telangana in 2015.

Officials confirmed that an adult tiger was found in the KB Asifabad area on Friday, but they were unable to identify it. However, sources say the dead tiger may be the eight-year-old K8 (Kadamba 8, named after the Kadamba Forest where he was born).

Tigress’s body was found in Agharguda Beat in the Gundepalli Forest area in the Penchikalpet Forest area in Kagaznagar Forest, KB Asifabad district.

Officials in the area declined to confirm or deny that the dead animal was a tiger, adding that they were not sure if the animal was a poacher’s prey or raised live wire fences to protect their crops from wildlife, especially wild boars or deer.

K8, which established its territory in Penchikalpet, has lived in the area for about eight years. It was reportedly born in 2017 and is part of Phalguna’s second trash.

By the way, the Forest Department’s proposal declares the corridor forest area of the Kagasnagar Forest Department as a “protective reserve” which will provide more protection for forests, which has been pending for several months in the government. There is an active tiger movement in the corridor area, and the big cats moved to telangana from Maharashtra and returned to Telangana, where several tigers had established territory in the corridor area.

Back in 2020, when K8 was found drinking water in Peddavagu in the Regichettu Madugu area, a video spread across the stream.
