What did Warren Buffett say to Apple Tim Cook?

On May 3, at Warren Buffett's 60th Berkshire Hathaway shareholder meeting, Apple's chief praised the technology giant for bringing more money to his investors than he did. As of March 2025, Apple Inc accounts for 28% of Berkshire Hathaway.

Warren Buffett initially thanked Apple CEO Tim Cook for his relaxed attitude. “I'm embarrassed to say that Tim Cook made Berkshire's money much more than I once had Berkshire Hathaway,” Buffett joked. “It should be attributed to him.”

Warren Buffett said he investigated Tim Cook's phone call after Apple's latest revenue release, the “only investment quarterly call” he's ever heard.
