Explosion sounds heard in Pathankot, Punjab

Chandigarh: Amid the ongoing military conflict between India and Pakistan, a similar explosion was heard in the Pathankot district of Punjab. The explosion was heard around 5 a.m. There are no official words in this regard.

Authorities conducted a power outage in Pathankot on Friday night and urged residents to stay indoors.

Security forces carried out multiple attacks on Friday night in Ferozepur, Pathankot, Fazilka and Amritsar areas in Punjab, officials said.

In Ferozepur, three members of a family were injured on Friday night after projectiles crashed by Pakistani drones were landed on its house in Khai Pheme ke village, setting up the structure and catching fire.

Tensions between India and Pakistan have surged significantly after Indian armed forces conducted a precise strike on Pakistan’s terrorist launch pad and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) on Wednesday in response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which was cross-attacked.

Pakistan launched a fresh drone attack on the second night of Friday to target 26 locations from Jamu and Kashmir to Gujarat (from Jamu and Kashmir to Gujarat).
