Tirumavaravan tells Tamil Nadu government

VCK leader Thor. Thirumavalavan on Tuesday reiterated his demands from the state government to enact a special law to prevent caste honor killings in Tamil Nadu.

He added that preventing such murders is the responsibility of the state.

In a statement, the Chidambaram MP noted that the Supreme Court upheld the Madras High Court’s charge of killing Kannagi and Murugesan in the village of Kuppanatham in the Kudalor region. “After 22 years, service has been served in this case. On behalf of VCK, I welcome this judgment. We urge the Tamil Nadu government to create a law to prevent future killings. Incarceration,” he added.
