TN, AP top that promotes energy efficiency

Vijayawada: The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) appreciates the Associated Press government’s efforts to promote energy efficiency. In this regard, Bee Secretary Milind Deora stressed that the southern states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh are setting up energy clubs to raise awareness among people who are energy conservation.

The Bee Secretary thanked the main secretaries of the two states for their strong collaboration in advancing Bee’s ambitious energy programs.

Southern State/United Nations Territorial Media Advisor A. Chandra Sekhara Reddy said they are increasing awareness of children’s energy saving and efficiency by establishing energy clubs in schools.

Chandrasekhar Reddy highlights the three-face strategy of the need to participate in energy conservation by public and private entities. He said the first goal of bees is to encourage key government departments, utilities and organizations to nominate Nodal officials to adopt energy-saving plans. Secondly, the school principal is made the club president to promote energy efficiency for students. Third, they use the urgency and importance of saving energy into public education.

Southern media advisers said energy efficiency measures strengthened India’s fight against climate change. He stressed that the ultimate goal of bees is to ensure that 80% of Indian villages and urban areas become environmentally friendly by 2028.
