Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin missed a BJP criticism in the formal engagement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (6 April 2025) for accusing him of “insulting” the prime minister and demanding an apology.
BJP Governor K. Annamalai was called “dramatic” and Mr. Stalin emphasized the practice of parliamentary demarcation.

Mr Stalin opened a government hospital in the mountainous Udhaga Mandamm on Sunday (6 April 2025) and said he had informed the Prime Minister that he could not participate in the latter plan of Rameswaram.
In Rameswaram, Mr. Modi unveiled the new Pamban Bridge, in addition to launching other plans worth more than Rs 80 billion.
Mr Stalin said on Udhagamandalam: “We have requested an appointment to introduce the memorandum of the demarcation… Since I participated in this government function, I have communicated to the Prime Minister that I cannot attend his meeting and on behalf of his ministers Thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam thangam andnarasu and raja kannappan.
In response, Mr. Annamarai said it was regrettable that Mr. Stalin was not present at the Prime Minister’s activities.
“The reason he gave (CM) was unacceptable. He knew the arrival of PM because the discussion had been going on for a long time. The Prime Minister did not go to New Delhi directly from Sri Lanka, but came here to contribute to the project. This is the main responsibility of CM, the main responsibility of CM.
He accused Mr. Stalin of doing politics. He said sarcastically: “He went to Uti because it was very hot in Rameswaram and he couldn’t bear the heat.”
The BJP “strongly condemns” CM skips the game.
“CM failed to perform its duties and should have respect for the Prime Minister. The Chief Minister insulted the Prime Minister, who came for the people of Tamil Nadu. He should apologize to the people of Tamil Nadu. He is demarcating the boundaries by demarcating, “BJP leaders are all doing politics.
